The drive down
How early to leave for a morning flight.
Work back from the terminal. Airlines want you there two hours before a domestic departure and three before an international one, so add the drive and a cushion for the tunnel. A 6 a.m. flight out of Methuen lands on a pickup near 3:30 in the morning, and the car is outside at 3:20. We plan the last fifteen minutes around the tunnel rather than around a best case, because the Ted Williams at five in the morning and the Ted Williams at seven are two different roads.

Massport puts a designated limousine stand at each terminal, and it is in a different kind of place at every one. Here is where each sits today. Your chauffeur confirms the exact spot by text before your aircraft is on the ground, so none of this is something you have to memorise.
Terminal A, Delta and Alaska
The limousine stand is the lot directly across from the curb on the Arrivals level, one floor below Departures.
Terminal B, American and United
Terminal B is the outlier. Its stand is curbside on the Departures level, between doors B-205 and B-208, so you go up a floor rather than out to a lot.
Terminal C, JetBlue
Follow the signage to the Central Parking Garage and come down to the limousine stand on the ground level.
Terminal E, international arrivals
Pickup is at E Lot 2 on the Arrivals level. It is also where we sit and wait when customs and immigration run long, which on a full widebody they often do.
The ride app lot is somewhere else entirely
Uber and Lyft collect in the Central Parking garage from Terminals A, C and E, and on Level 2 of the Terminal B garage. A pre-arranged car is not in there, so walk to your terminal's limousine stand instead of following the ride app signs.

Do you track my flight?
