That one fact is the difference between walking out of baggage claim into a waiting car and standing at a curb texting a stranger. It is also the part almost nobody explains before you land, so here is the whole thing, terminal by terminal, including what changes on an international arrival and what a chauffeur is actually doing while your inbound sits on a taxiway in Charlotte.
Where does a car service pick you up at Logan?
At the limo stand assigned to your terminal. Massport publishes all four, and they are not all on the arrivals level, which is the part that catches people out.
| Terminal | Where the stand is | Level |
|---|---|---|
| Terminal A | The lot across from the curb, outside baggage claim | Arrivals, lower |
| Terminal B | Curbside between doors B-205 and B-208 | Departures, upper |
| Terminal C | Ground level of the Central Parking Garage, signed from the terminal | Ground |
| Terminal E | E Lot 2 | Arrivals, lower |
Massport also states it plainly: limo service at Logan is available by prior reservation only. There is no rank you can walk up to and hire from the way you can with a taxi. If a car is meeting you at one of those stands, somebody booked it in advance.

Why is Terminal B's stand on the departures level?
It reads like a typo the first time you see it in a message. It is not. At Terminal B the limo stand sits upstairs, on the Departures level, between doors B-205 and B-208. Go up one level, walk out between those two door numbers, and the car is there.
The short version to keep in your head: at A, C and E you are looking for your car at arrivals or ground level. At B, you go up. Everybody who flies out of B regularly learns this once and then never thinks about it again.
How is that different from an Uber or a Lyft at Logan?
Ride apps do not get a terminal-side stand. Massport routes them into a garage instead, and at three of the four terminals that garage is the Central Parking Garage rather than the one attached to your terminal.
| Terminal | Pre-booked car service | Ride app |
|---|---|---|
| Terminal A | Lot across from the Arrivals curb | Central Parking Garage |
| Terminal B | Departures level, doors B-205 to B-208 | Level 2 of the Terminal B Parking Garage |
| Terminal C | Central Parking Garage, ground level | Central Parking Garage |
| Terminal E | E Lot 2, Arrivals level | Central Parking Garage |
None of that is a complaint about ride apps. It is a description of a walk. With two checked bags, a car seat, or a knee that does not love a garage ramp at eleven at night, that walk is the entire product difference, and it is the reason a pre-booked car costs what it costs.

Can my chauffeur meet me inside at baggage claim?
Yes, if you ask for it when you book. Meet and greet puts your chauffeur inside the terminal with your name on a board, and it is the easier option with luggage, with children, or at the end of an overnight flight. Curbside is faster if you travel light and you already know which door you are walking out of.
Massport's own guidance is to follow the signage for Limos or Ground Transportation and to confirm the pickup point with your limousine company. So confirm it. Ask which stand when you book, put the answer in your phone, and the walk out of the terminal becomes a straight line.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
We move the pickup, and the price stays exactly what the quote said. Flight tracking runs on every airport transfer, in both directions, so an aircraft that lands ninety minutes late finds a car that already knew.
There is a mechanical reason this matters more at Logan than it sounds. Massport's cell phone lot, at 6 Tomahawk Drive in East Boston, holds vehicles for a maximum of thirty minutes and explicitly does not admit commercial vehicles. Curbside waiting is out too: Massport's wording is that curbside waiting is not allowed and vehicles may be asked to move by airport police.
Put those two rules together and a chauffeur waiting on a late flight cannot do the thing your brother in law does, which is park somewhere free and sit there until you text. Watching the tail number and timing the approach is not a feature we bolted on. At this airport it is the only way the job works at all.

What is different about an international arrival at Terminal E?
Add customs to your arithmetic. The aircraft can be at the gate on schedule and you can still be an hour from the curb, because passport control and baggage reclaim sit between the two. Terminal E's limo stand is E Lot 2 on the Arrivals level.
The honest advice for Terminal E is to message your chauffeur when you clear customs rather than when the wheels touch. That timestamp actually predicts when you will reach the curb, and the wheels-down one does not.
How busy is Logan, really?
Busy enough that the gap between a stand and a garage costs you a real piece of your evening. On December 18, 2024, Massport announced that the airport had served 43 million passengers that year, breaking the previous record of 42.5 million set in 2019.
Passenger records are the airport's good news. For you they translate into queues: at the arrivals curb, at the garage elevators, and in the tunnel on the way home. Every one of those is shorter when the car is already standing where it is allowed to stand.

People think the hard part of an airport run is the driving. It is not. The hard part is standing in the right place at the right minute, at an airport that will not let you wait anywhere else. That is the whole job.
What should you do the minute you land?
- Come off airplane mode and check for your chauffeur's message. It names the stand for your terminal and the vehicle you are looking for.
- Reply when you are walking toward baggage claim, not when the wheels touch. Those two moments are twenty minutes apart on a good day.
- At Terminals A, C and E, head for arrivals or ground level. At Terminal B, go up to Departures and out between doors B-205 and B-208.
- If you booked meet and greet, stay inside and look for your name near the carousel rather than walking out to the curb.
- Arriving internationally into Terminal E, message us the moment you clear customs. That is the timestamp that matters.
What about the other direction, flying out?
Departures are a different problem entirely. Nobody has to find you, and the whole question becomes what time to leave your own driveway, which depends on your flight, the day of the week and what I-93 is doing that morning. We worked that arithmetic out in full, hour by hour, in its own piece.
How early to leave Methuen for a flight out of Logan
What does a Logan run cost?
Airport transfers are quoted per trip, in writing, before you book, and the quote is the price you pay. A delayed inbound does not change it and a longer wait at the stand does not change it. Give us the flight number and the address and you will have a figure to look at.
